I am secure and clear why I’m choosing to wait until marriage to have sex. But for a long time I wasn’t. And to be frank, in the heat of the moment because the Bible told me so, was no longer compelling enough for me to keep my clothes on.
I felt confused and alone.
So I embarked on what turned into a year long journey of discovering my why. I researched every verse in the Bible that talked about sex. To my surprise, God had a lot to say about the matter.
Friend, you are not alone. I truly believe the plans God has for your life are more abundant, adventurous, and creative than you could ever hope for.
With you on the journey,
If you’re looking for a 10 Step Guide to Freedom—you’re in the wrong place. I’m no expert. I am on the journey with you—offering you tools graciously given to me over the years. My prayer is that through this guide you will know, believe and experience:
- Truth defeats fear and lies.
- You are worth fighting for.
- You are not alone.
Shifting from fear to freedom is a process full of twists and turns. I used to beat myself up when I fell flat on my face after working on something for so long. I felt ashamed, like I was back at square one.
However, we don’t shame toddlers when they repeatedly fall as they learn to walk. Instead we celebrate the steps they do take. We give them, love, encouragement, and hugs when they get a scrape.
What if we gave ourselves this same grace? What matters is that we keep moving.
Growth is always worth fighting for. And healing is possible. Whatever that may be—heartache, addiction, body image. It is difficult, but moving toward freedom—no matter how hard or tiny the steps we’re making—matters.
On the journey with you,
